Hi, I am Anya Smith. I'm a photographer who was born and lives in Plymouth,
UK. (May 8 1989)
During 2005-2007 I studied for my A-levels at Eggbuckland C C. I studied
Photography, Art, and Product Design. I achieved 2 A's and a B (for Product
Design.) Through my A-levels I achieved 2 awards, the first was the Graham
Pollock Award for my photography and the second was the Delco Prize for my
Product Design.
After my A-levels I continued my studies at Estover C C, where I undertook a
Foundation Course in Art and Design, (2007-2008). During this time I chose to
solely go down the route of photography, and I achieved a Distinction at the end
of the course.
I am now progressing on with my photography at the University of Plymouth, to
gain a degree in BA Hons: Photography. (2008-2011)
I have sixteen of my photos on display at Derriford Hospital. I have thirteen
images from my Burrator Reservoir Series in X-ray West, and two of my underwater
images and a panoramic on display at Heartswell Lodge.
I have also taken part in a group exhibition in the city centre, entitled "Naked
Plymouth" and in the Guild Hall.
